Survivor Quilt – Backstory + Bundles

You hear quilters say (or at least I do), “this is my favorite pattern I’ve designed” often when releasing new quilt patterns. This time though, I mean that 100% and I don’t think I will ever be able to top this pattern.

BACKSTORY

If you have been around here for a while, then you know that my grandma (MomMaw) is the one who taught me to sew and helped me make my first quilt. She passed almost nine years ago from breast cancer and without her teachings and patients, The Homebody Company wouldn’t be a thing today.

Thus, the Survivor Quilt was born! This pattern was made in her memory and to honor other women that I know who have faced the breast cancer battle. While selling a quilt pattern will never be a cure, I do hope that what I am able to give helps people through the battle. I have done fundraisers in the past but wanted to do something that would be around for much longer than just one week of fundraising.

100% of proceeds from each Survivor Quilt Pattern sold will be donated to a Breast Cancer Nonprofit Organization. For monthly updates on the amount of money raised and where it is going, click here.

FABRIC BUNDLES

I have had a few wonderful fabric shops help me put together some beautiful bundles.

I am so excited to see this quilt be made using other cancer ribbon colors as well! It Is not intended to only support those going through the breast cancer battle, but any cancer battle.

Make sure to tag @thehomebodycompany on Instagram when making this pattern and use the hashtags #survivorquilt and #thbcpatterns.
