Golden Light Quilt – The Copper Paper One
I had the pleasure of working with Copper Paper Co. and their new fabric line throughout the Golden Light quilt release. For this version, I used the following from the new line:
- The Fable
- The Wilder
- The Gabby (binding)
While I I loved all of the fabrics that I got to work with, I was particularly obsessed with the binding! I love a good stripy binding and this just took it to a whole other level! Not only did it fit the quilt perfectly, but I could have kept it rolled up like this just for fun.

Making My Binding Strips
I made my binding strips just a bit wider so that I could cut two rows of squares at a time and fold down the middle. It allowed this checkered print to become the most beautiful striped binding and perfect finishing touch to this baby quilt!

Finished Baby Golden Light Quilt
I really loved the way these two prints contrasted with each other. It isn’t a must that you use a solid fabric when creating contrast in your quilts. This showed that off perfectly! The finished baby Golden Light Quilt was the cutest and I’m so glad I was able to make it with these fabrics from Copper Paper Co..

Just look at how the binding turned out!! It was so fun to see it working out like I had planned in my head as I hand stitched it to finish it up.
