Thoughts Behind the Quilt

When I made the choice to not release Holiday Hills last fall/winter and step away from my shop all together while I finished up wedding planning and enjoy the current season of life I was in, it did not come easily. I loved this space and I loved designing. I had every intention to come back to it after the wedding, but it was still scary to step away from something I had been so present in for the last year.

When it was ‘time’ for me to come back, I was SO excited. And was full speed ahead… for about 1 week. And then I just didn’t want to. I didn’t have my sewing mojo. And honestly? It was kind of scary to not bounce back in like I had always planned.

And then, it started to come back. I went through some other big changes in my life (read more about that here) and my sewing mojo came back! I sewed without posting about it for a month and knew that this was the time to release Holiday Hills.

So I got to work, contacted my testers, found an amazing tech editor and it was on. I was back and so excited about bringing this pattern to life. It has been a journey and taught me SO MUCH. I hope that you all love it and can’t wait to see your version of the Holiday Hills Quilt Pattern.
